Day 26: A Room with a View

Out of time, and tomorrow is a long day, so just a few words on Day 26:

Sunday--it was beautiful!

Fancy albergue.  Patrick needed to take half a rest day today, so he and Chris got a hotel room so they could relax and watch the World Cup game.  Conveniently, there was an albergue attached to their hotel, so I was able to stay there.  Let me tell you, I practically have my own hotel room.  It is super nice, super clean, there are only 4 beds in the room, and one nice bathroom and shower for just this room.  My bed is right by the window (one of my favorite things), and I have a beautiful view.  It is ridiculous.  Oh, and it is silent.  Not just  quiet, but silent.  Ridiculous.  It's a nice little Sunday treat, but I won't mind being back in albergues with rooms of bunks full of snoring pilgrims--it's the Camino way ;)

Mass.  I would just like to give a giant THANK YOU to Padre Pascal.  While everyone else gets to laze around and do whatever they want for the rest of the day after arriving at their destination town, the good Padre always finds me or Chris or Patrick, we investigate Mass times, he sets a Mass time if there isn't one in town, and he plans the rest of the evening around that.  What a good and generous shepherd we have along the Camino.  Pray for this priest!!  We are wearing him out ;)

Tired elbows.  I have learned that when I am really really tired, I put my elbows on the table at or after dinner to hold my head up.  Today, my elbows were up on the table.  Today, I  am tired.  Going to bed is going to be so great.  Now is the time.  Happy Sunday!
